The bottle body comes first
Before you buy a single add-on, decide what's actually holding the water. The TMB - Modular Bottle is the starting point: a glass vessel with a threaded neck that every other piece screws onto. Nothing else matters if the body isn't right for your day.
The TMB - Modular Bottle 2026 is the same idea with the current fit and finish. If you're replacing an older bottle or buying your first one, this is the version I'd grab. Both take the same modules, so a Tea & Fruit Infuser you bought two years ago still threads on today. That consistency is the whole reason this system works.
Glass 500ml or Glass 700ml?
This is the decision people agonize over the longest, and it's honestly the easiest one. Ask where the bottle lives.
- Glass 500ml — fits a car cup holder, a bike cage, and most backpack side pockets. Good for a commute or a half-day at a desk.
- Glass 700ml — the one I take on full days out. It's taller, fits fewer cup holders, and holds enough that I stop refilling at 2pm.
I keep a 500ml on my desk and a 700ml in my bag. Two bottles, zero confusion in the morning.
Modules that change how you drink
Tall Module
The Tall Module adds height, which means more volume in the same footprint. If you like the slim profile of the 500ml but keep running dry, this is the cheaper fix than buying a second bottle.
Tea & Fruit Infuser
Loose leaf in a plain bottle turns into a mouthful of leaves. The Tea & Fruit Infuser sits in the neck and holds the bits back. I use it for cold-brew green tea overnight and for lemon slices in summer. It's the module I'd recommend to anyone who currently owns a sad bag of teabags.
Glass Cups
Glass Cups turn the bottle into something you can actually pour from. Two people, one bottle, no passing the whole thing across the table. Small thing. Big difference at a picnic.
Colour and finish: pick once, live with it
The finishes split into two families. The Pro line runs cooler and more subdued — TMB - Pro Grey, TMB - Pro White, and TMB - Pro Blue. They read as work-bag gear. The Ultra finishes lean brighter: TMB - Ultra Blue is the loudest of the set, with TMB - Ultra Grey and TMB - Ultra White as the calmer options.
If you want something that doesn't fight your outfit, TMB - Dark Grey disappears into any bag. TMB - Space Blue sits somewhere in the middle — dark enough for the office, not so dark it vanishes on a dark shelf. And TMB - White Black is the one I'd pick if I were buying two, because the contrast makes it easy to spot at the bottom of a crowded tote.
Practically speaking: darker finishes hide fingerprints from a commute. Lighter ones show every smudge from sunscreen hands. That's the trade.
Where the Insulation Sleeve earns its place
Glass doesn't hold temperature the way a double-walled steel bottle does, and no sleeve will change that. What the Insulation Sleeve does is slow the drift and stop condensation from soaking your notebook. On a warm day with iced water, that second part matters more than the first.
My honest split: sleeve on for iced drinks and long walks, sleeve off at the desk. It also quiets the clink of glass on a metal desk, which my coworkers appreciate more than I do.
One setup, copied
Here's what I'd hand someone starting from zero. 700ml body, Tea & Fruit Infuser, one Insulation Sleeve, finish in TMB - Dark Grey. That covers a workday and a weekend hike without any thinking. Add Glass Cups later if you share drinks often, and a Tall Module only if you find yourself refilling the 700ml twice a day.
Two small things worth knowing before you order. Modules thread onto the standard neck, so don't toss old ones when you upgrade the body. And if you're buying the 500ml purely for a bike cage, measure the cage first — glass is heavier than plastic, and a snug fit rattles less.
